registration guide - new to minor hockey

For families registering a child in minor hockey for the first time, please complete ALL FIVE of the following steps.

1.  a valid Community Association Membership

  • Obtain a current membership with your local community association.

2. Create a SPORDLE (Hockey Canada Registry) Account

3. complete the RESPECT IN SPORT (RIS) PARENT MODULE

  • ​​​​​​​Using your Hockey Canada ID number, complete the Respect in Sport - Parent module using this link: RESPECT IN SPORT - PARENT
  • ​​​​​​​Link your player to your Respect in Sport Profile following these directions: ADDING A PLAYER TO YOUR RIS PROFILE
  • FOR ASSOCIATION, CHOOSE 'NORTHWEST WARRIORS CALGARY'​​​​​​​. Do NOT choose Calgary or Northwest Warriors Jr C.
  • ​​​​​​​Your child cannot participate in evaluations or be rostered until you have a valid RIS certificate linked to his/her profile

4. provide proof of birthdate and proof residence

  • Send a copy of your child's birth certificate or passport as well as a copy of your proof of residence to registrar@nwwarriorshockey.com
  • Proof of residence can be a utility statement, lease agreement, insurance documents, GST statement, or Notice of Assessment.
  • Your child is not confirmed as a member of NWW and cannot participate in evaluations or be rostered until these documents have been received.

5. COMPLETE ONLINE REGISTRATION

  • Please ensure that your home and email addresses are updated, your payment information is correct (and not expiring), fill out questionnaires, and review and acknowledge waivers
  • You can add Development Programs in your age group (if applicable) before Checkout
  • You must have your own profile in Spordle to register as a Coach
    • Please do not select Coach Registration under your child's profile
    • If you have your own profile, you can select 'Add Another Participant'
