Coach requirements
To coach with the Nortwest Warriors, all of the following requirements must be completed:
- Shift Forward Coach Certification - *This must be current and valid
- Vulnerable Sector (Police) Check - A token and instructions will be emailed to all approved coach applicants. These are valid for three seasons.
- Register with Northwest Warriors - All coaches must be registered under their own profile through the NWW system for $0 Fee
- Complete NWW Association volunteering as an Evaluator in September per the Volunteer Bond Program
*The Shift Forward certification replaces the 'Respect in Sport Activity Leader' Certificate. Coaches with a current RIS certificate will need to complete a new Shift Forward certificate ONLY once their RIS certificate has expired.

how to apply to coach
- Log in to the Registration portal
- Select the program: Choose “Northwest Warriors 2025–2026 Registration”, then click “Register Now.”
- Find your Hockey Canada profile: Search by your HCR number or by entering your full name and date of birth.
- Complete your registration ($0 Fee)
